Toyota Hilux Springs

Toyota Hilux Springs
We don’t all have a Toyota Hilux that looks like this, but we all have springs, and we all need to make sure that the springs mounted on our Toyota Hilux is the best match for our budget and off-road needs. Most of your trucks off-road abilities come down to either wheels, suspension or driver skills.

I have selected a few springs made for Toyota Hilux. There are more models out there on the market, but I have selected these models of off-road springs, because they have proven their off-road abilities and lifespan. I have selected Old Man Emu, Ironman and Procomp as the top brands I would reccomend.

All of the 4 brands below are Great springs.

Pro Comp probably makes the best springs and suspension for Toyota Hilux if you want to go racing in the desert or mountains. They have a lot of experience with Racing springs and if off-road racing is what you do most with your Hilux, then I would go with Pro Comp (see link below)

Both TJM and Ironman are really really tough spring brands that can stand any beating you can throw at them. Just like the Hilux, then are build to last forever no matter what you use them for. These two brands are the best for expeditions and people whose life depend on their 4×4 not breaking down.

Old Man Emu / ARB are probably the best known brand of off-road gear. They last long and is a quality brand you can buy anywhere on in the world. Its probably the best if you want to go around the world, because you can get replacements anywhere. The resale value is great as well

Best Toyota Hilux springs
#1 Pro Comp (US)
#2 TJM (Australia)
#3 Ironman (Australian)
#4 Old Man Emu / Arb (Australian)

Ironman Springs, shocks and liftkits

Ironman Springs shocks and liftkits
Ironman produce springs and shocks for the same use as TJM and ARB. It’s not the super high performance springs and shocks, but its for people who need the extra lift and flex to drive safely across any surface they encounter. Ironman Suspension is more work and survival than leisure sport. Ironman produce springs that last long and dont fail after years of hard work offroad.

Ironman Spring and liftkit:
ironman spring and liftkit Ironman spings produce kits to most trucks still in use around the world. The Leafsprings lift the car 50mm, the coilsprings around 40-45mm and some of the cars with independent suspension around 35mm. This is enough for you to fit a +1 oversize tire and still keep the drive dumanice of the car without having the wheel hit the bodywork anywhere. Ironman test and develop the kits to the specific car to make sure it matches the quality and capability associated with the Ironman brand.

The Springs comes in two variations. Normal and Constant load. Constant load is for those that haul heavy stuff of a daily basic.

Ironman shocks:
There are two models of shocks in the Ironman Shock program; “Nitro Gas” and “Foam Cell”. Nitro Gas is what most people choose due to the price and performance. It will fit your normal needs. With “Foam Cell” the gas is replaced with a special foam that will save you the trouble of overheated shocks, that will result in poor performance. Ironman Foam Cell shocks are for those that have long tough drives through the terrain or heavy load. The Foam Cell takes up less space than the Gas version, so the shocks pack more oil as well.

All ironman shocks are build using Fuchs lequids, and they are always test before being shipped
